Once upon a time I believed in fairy tales

And happy ever after wasn’t far away

And once upon a time I believed the truth could save me

That I’d only have to be brave for one more day

It’s such a tragedy

Pure insanity

That drained the optimism out of me

And drug me back down to reality

Cause I don’t believe that now

Now that you’re gone away

Now that there’s no power left to save me

Or kiss strong enough to wake me

I’m lost in the fray

Somehow I wish I could find my way

My way back to okay.

Getting older’s made me colder

I look around and see suffering

But I don’t care cause I’m not bleeding

This was not who I wanted to be

But who I had to be to survive

So many attempted suicides

I sure you’re disappointed now

But now that you’re gone away

I’m lost in the fray

Help me to find meaning

I keep drowning in who I think I should be

That I can’t face reality
